PACE Foundation CIC
Our Foundation delivers projects which centre on the following objectives:
Community Cohesion
Projects which breakdown barriers, strengthen communities and challenge anti-social behaviour.
Community Health
& Wellbeing
Projects which improve physical and mental health, reaching out to all ages of the community.
Community Education
Projects which provide new educational opportunities, raise aspirations, & create pathways for people.
To achieve these objectives, we deliver initiative, exciting, bespoke projects in the context of:
Sport
Health & Fitness
The Environment
Whether a project uses sport, health & fitness or the environment, our methods and values stay the same. To have a positive impact, we believe in:
-
Robust Planning
Learning from previous projects and ensuring the landscape is fully understood beforehand. We must have infrastructure in place to support projects from start to finish. We are keen to co-produce our activities and believe that true partnership working produces better results in the communities that we serve.
-
Quality Staffing
Our in-house team consist of coaches, teachers, assessors, youth workers, environmental specialists, and instructors, all able to adapt to the needs of the specific individual or community. Our team must show empathy, provide motivation, and build strong relationships with a diverse range of people. We have a proven track record; this is down to utilising the right people.
-
Collaboration
We involve other key organisations to best understand and serve the local community. Drawing on local knowledge and, when necessary, buying in specialist support/services.
-
Evaluation
Our team needs to be reflective, respond positively to all situations, and listen to partners, communities, and funders.
We have delivered projects across South East Kent, particularly in the Dover District, Canterbury and Thanet. If you are interested in working in partnership with us please drop us an email.
Current Projects
Coalfields Kick-about!
This session is aimed at men aged 35-55, taking place at Aylesham Leisure Centre on a Monday night - 7:15pm-8:30pm. Through this project we aim to help participants reconnect socially, increase exercise levels and improve their mental health. As long as you enjoy playing football, this session is open to you. No need to book, just turn up with your boots! It's a weekly opportunity to get some exercise, have a chat in a supportive environment and relieve some stress - and it's free!
Walking Football at Sandwich
Our walking football runs from Sandwich Leisure Centre on a Monday evening, 5-6pm. This session is specifically for adults aged 50 and over, and is complete free to attend. We aim to increase exercise levels within the age group, and hope to see an improvement in mobility and strength in those who attend regularly. If you would like to book in please drop us a message.
